Harriet Burrows, a manager at Gate One, has won the Most Influential Woman in Executive Coaching 2023 (London) at the annual Influential Businesswoman Awards run by Acquisition International.

The Awards recognise and shine a light on women who are a driving force for innovation, change and empowerment. Acquisition International prides itself on the validity of its awards and winners. The awards are given solely on merit and are awarded to commend those most deserving for their ingenuity and hard work, distinguishing them from their competitors and proving them worthy of recognition.

Gate One Partner Caro Ruttledge said: “Harriet’s win is testament to her passion and skill for leadership development and coaching, and the lasting impact she has on individuals, teams and organisations. As business models change, and the trading environment in which we operate becomes more complex, helping develop leaders with the capability and discipline fit for contemporary work practices is critical. Harriet approaches all her client engagements with a focus on building meaningful and productive relationships, unlocking different ways of thinking, and translating individuals’ passions and purpose into high performance. We so appreciate having Harriet as part of our team, and I’m really proud to see her getting the industry recognition she deserves.”

For example, last year Harriet co-founded the Women and Friends group, a unique network created to empower women in the rail industry and provide a safe space for progression and growth. Recently, she has also coached a series of six senior leaders at the Department for Transport, receiving positive feedback from all, and her coaching portfolio was also used by her coaching tutor as best practice example.

Commenting on her win Harriet said: “Early on in my career, I realised my main driver is to make a difference. Qualifying and practicing as an Executive Coach has enabled me to channel this drive and passion to make a meaningful difference to people, teams and organisations and I can honestly say I love what I do! Thank you to those who have been on this journey with me. This is just the start and I’m incredibly lucky and proud to be continuing this journey at Gate One where I am working with talented, inspirational leaders and coaches to deliver meaningful change through leadership development and coaching programmes.”

Harriet is part of the leadership development and coaching team at Gate One. Through coaching, leadership assessment and development programmes, she supports individuals and teams to lead their people effectively, manage themselves and ultimately lead successfully through organisational transformational change.
