Our client, a FTSE 100 global manufacturer, was rolling out a new technology platform to enable collaboration across its 18,000 employees. The rollout encompassed geographies and functions with widely disparate cultures, languages and technology maturity levels.
We applied a data-led, iterative approach, blending proven technology adoption theory and ChAgile®. The approach used a mix of global and local initiatives, with a central global team providing direction and guidance while local teams delivered on the ground. The team designed and tested the approach with various small test groups, gathering feedback, learning and refining before rolling out to the whole organisation, mitigating the risks associated with a ‘big bang’ deployment.
Within ten weeks of the programme launch, over 70% of the organisation had adopted the tool ahead of the pre-agreed cutover date. The wide adoption and understanding of the tool has been a key enabler of remote working and was pivotal in maintaining business continuity throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
