To deliver against pledges by the NHS to address the racial and social class inequality in pregnancy and birth outcomes, an integrated local care system commissioned us to project manage the collation of detailed analysis of maternity outcomes in their local maternity and neonatal system. We led analysis on various data sources, including understanding population needs and clinical outcomes, mapping community assets and developing an engagement plan.
The final report outlined recommendations to address these inequalities and continue to build a truly equitable service and experience for all pregnant and birthing women, mothers and their families.
