At Gate One, giving back to others is part of our DNA, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a core part of our business. We are on a mission to continue investing in local community projects, organisations and people to create lasting, meaningful change.
In June and July, over 175 dedicated colleagues came together across more than 20 opportunities in the UK, Ireland, and India – each one stepping up to create real impact as part of our Gate One Gives Back CSR Day. And the momentum continues, with 12 members of our US team set to join the effort in August.
On 11th July, 120 members of the Gate One team spent a very hot day in communities local to our Gate One office locations supporting practically. This ranged from organising food donations, cooking and serving in shelters, painting community spaces, doing physical work in city farms, volunteering in community gardens, and many more. We’ve been running this initiative since 2021, and this year, our team in India joined us for the first time, helping to deliver real impact!
We are also proud to be supporting and inspiring future generations and those with limited access to guidance and advice. Our teams ran career building and youth outreach programmes, delivering a variety of workshops for our next wave of talent and providing CV and career advice to refugees to support them in finding paid work in the UK.
Another group used their core business, marketing, and digital transformation expertise to help a range of charities including Refuge, Rays of Sunshine, and Camden Giving to solve some of their most pressing challenges, delivering real impact, pro bono!
Over in Ireland, nine members of the team completed an abseiling challenge down the cliffs of Dún Laoghaire raising an impressive €1,735 (and counting) for our partner charity, Active Connections, a non-for-profit that works with young people facing behavioural challenges across the country.
And it doesn’t stop there, in August, 12 of our US colleagues will be supporting God’s Love We Deliver, a kitchen serving medically tailored meals to New Yorkers with health conditions. They will be getting busy helping out with food prep, chopping, cleaning and organising.
Sonia Cochet, Gate One Gives Back CSR Principal, said: “Giving back is a huge part of the Gate One culture. When recruiting, we actively seek out individuals who genuinely care about making a difference as, for many of our people, social impact isn’t just a nice-to-have – it’s a real passion. That’s why initiatives like our Gate One Gives Back CSR Day are so powerful. They’re brought to life by colleagues who go the extra mile to create meaningful, shared experiences – and the response speaks volumes: 100% of our people want to do it all over again.”

Alex Wickenden, Gate One Gives Back Lead, said: “We’re proud to be part of a company that looks outward with compassion and a deep sense of purpose. In a time when many charities and non-profits are facing unprecedented challenges, our recent Gate One Gives Back CSR Day was a powerful reminder of the impact we can have when we come together. From offering strategic support using our consulting expertise, to mentoring individuals striving to enter the workforce, to simply lending a hand where it was needed most, we were incredibly grateful for the chance to give back in ways that truly mattered. It was a day of real connection and contribution, and meeting so many inspiring people in our local community left a lasting impression.”
At Gate One, we tackle your toughest challenges and accelerate your boldest ambitions. Our mission is to deliver meaningful change.
