A FTSE 100 hotel and restaurant company needed support to align on benefits realisation across the organisation’s strategic portfolio. We were asked to help develop programme management and ePMO capabilities to better equip the executive committee to drive the strategic direction of the organisation.

We first assessed the existing ways of working, delivery lifecycle and ePMO capability within the organisation. Working with the client, we designed a new ePMO structure and roles and responsibility matrix; developed a singular view of all strategic initiatives; and created a clear business case management process. We carried out portfolio prioritisation activities and supporting executive portfolio dashboards, as well as developing delivery community hubs and detailed programme assurance processes.

Our client was able to make immediate use of the new ways of working across the strategic programmes and delivery teams in place. The portfolio dashboards, reports and embedded governance processes enabled the executive committee to successfully align on the delivery progress and realised benefits to date of the organisation’s strategic portfolio.
