Our housing association client wanted to establish a new directorate for change and transformation to deliver its three-year digital strategy. However, its in-house team had limited experience of delivering large-scale change through agile methods and a recent reorganisation meant many staff were in new roles.

To support the organisation in its digital journey, we mobilised a change and transformation portfolio office (which included designing and prioritising the organisation’s transformation framework) while simultaneously working with the team to address their capability gaps. As part of this, we provided senior leadership coaching and delivered thematic training sessions to around 50 of their staff members, focused on agile ways of working, sprint planning, managing new demand and effective reporting.

As a result of these interventions, the client stood up the new change and transformation directorate with product, business change and technology teams working together – and with the business – effectively, to deliver against their digital roadmap.

Gate One’s collaborative style accelerated learning by doing – working shoulder to shoulder with us in delivery – as well as providing one-to-one coaching, which has enabled my team to grow in capability and confidence working in an agile environment.
