Gate One has been awarded a 3-star accreditation by Best Companies in recognition of extraordinary levels of workplace engagement.

The 3-star accreditation is Best Companies’ highest standard of workplace engagement and represents organisations that truly excel when it comes to how engaged their people are at work and how they feel about their employer.

To achieve accreditation, Gate One employees were invited to participate in the Best Companies b-Heard survey. The confidential survey asks employees to score a series of statements about their work lives including wellbeing, pay and benefits, personal growth, team and leadership.

Based on the responses, organisations are given a Best Companies Index (BCI) score which, if high enough, earns accreditation from ‘Ones to Watch’ through to the highest standard of ‘3-star status’.

Simon Dennis, director of people and talent at Gate One, said: “We have been scrutinising our own employee pulse surveys for some time, but it’s been insightful to analyse a comprehensive, objective set of results from the Best Companies survey that reinforces what’s working and where we need to keep improving.

It’s awesome for Gate One to receive a 3-star accreditation, with a 96% response rate across the team. Our aim is to build on these survey results and see where we can do even better to support our people to do their best work with us.”

The highest-scoring organisations will appear in the Best Companies to Work For lists, published in The Sunday Times in February 2020.
